United Supreme Council

 

The United Supreme Council, 33° Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliation, USA, Inc. held it Triennial Meeting Washington, DC from October 6-10, 2006. This was an election year and the following officers were elected and installed:

 

Dr. Deary Vaughn; Sovereign Grand Commander

Dr. William O. Jones; Lieutenant Grand Commander

Dr. Ralph Slaughter; Grand Chancellor

Wilbur F. Fernander; Grand Minister of State

Gilbert S. Reddings; Grand Treasurer-General

Marvin Chambers; Grand Secretary-General

Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks; Grand Prior

Wilbert M. Curtis, Jr.; Grand Auditor

William A. Marsh, Jr. Esq. Grand Attorney.

 

The officers were officially installed.

 

Education Symposium for the Thirty-third Class

 

It was rated a success by the speakers and attendees. The Education Symposium included the Sovereign Grand Commander, Ill. Deary Vaughn, 33°, Ill. Howard L. Woods, 33°, Grand Orator, Ill. Allen Stewart, PhD, 33°, President of the Charitable Foundation, and Ill. A.K. Wilkins, 33°, Deputy for Korea.  The Orient of Maryland under the leadership of Ill. LeRoy Lassiter, 33° put on a display of the 32°. The audience consisted of members and guests of the United Supreme Council and other Scottish Rite members who came to explore the Scottish Rite and receive their 33°.  The presentations were well accepted by all, and the all the presenters did an excellent job.
